Just popping this here because I’d love to create a list of easy ideas/rituals for parents and from parents which strengthen your bond with your teen or adult children.
We’re all doing our best but I think we sometimes become overwhelmed by advice or instructions on how to parent well. And if there is one thing I have learned from the hundreds of experts I have chatted with and from parenting four teens is that there are easy small daily habits, rituals and ways of being which are invaluable and long lasting when it comes to connecting with our children as I mention in the video above. We often forget them in the busyness of our daily life.
Let me know what you found works with your older children, teens and adult kids living at home and I can pull a list together to send out into the parenting universe for all to share and benefit from. Things like remembering their fave childhood snack, playing Uno spontaneously, surprise cups of tea with biccies, sending the dog in for an impromptu cuddle during revision, warming thier coats on the radiators before they go out. The small stuff.
